To Broadway and Back: A Party for the Arts

Saturday, October 2, 2010 • 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Emmett Robinson Theatre, Albert Simons Center for the Arts and The Marion and Wayland H. Cato Jr. Center for the Arts, all on the College of Charleston campus

• A celebration of the College's presence on Broadway, featuring the songs of composer and alumnus Mel Marvin, co-starring Margaret Anne Florence and special guests. This 20th anniversary gala will benefit scholarships and programming at the College of Charleston School of the Arts. The emcee will be MSNBC news anchor Contessa Brewer.

• Performance by Tony Award nominee and alumnus Mel Marvin (’62), and Broadway veteran and alumna Margaret Anne Florence (’01), with other distinguished alumni and guests

• Live and silent auctions, including travel packages, golf outings, jewelry, oyster roast for 40, private concerts, exclusive chef dinners, outdoor packages, original artwork, sports packages and much more!

• Gourmet fare by signature Charleston chefs from Buck Ridge Plantation, Grill 225, Newton Farms Catering, Rue de Jean, Swamp Fox Restaurantl & Bar, Tristan, and more

• Specialty drinks and martinis
