The Friends of the School of the Arts is an organization that promotes and supports the College of Charleston’s School of the Arts’ departments and programs. The Friends of the School of the Arts (SOTA) strengthens the relationships amongst the School, the College, the community, and other academic and cultural groups. Through regular financial sponsorship and attendance at arts and cultural events, Friends support the growth of the arts at the College of Charleston and assist students in their academic and artistic pursuits.
Welcome

October 23, 2006

You are invited to become a Friend of the School of the Arts!

On behalf of Dean Valerie Morris, the faculty, staff and students of the School of the Arts at the College of Charleston, I invite you to become a member of this exciting and dynamic group, Friends of the School of the Arts. Through your membership you will be supporting the School, the students and special projects that traditional budgetary allowances might not cover. Such support is a key part of the success of the cultural arts community. While providing philanthropic assistance to the School’s programs you, personally, will enjoy wonderful benefits that are associated with the four levels of membership – something for everyone!

As a Friend you will experience previews and first hand information about programs and events related to the School of the Arts. Throughout each academic year a variety of exciting social events take place to which you will be invited according to your particular chosen membership level. Friends enjoy a special relationship with the College and the School of the Arts - we welcome your participation as a member – the diversity of cultural, social and educational events will astound you!

Hoping to see you soon at the next Friends event. Contact the School of the Arts’ office for details and membership information at (843) 953-6315.

Welcoming you to the Friends of the School of the Arts!

Most sincerely,

Harriet Smartt
