Work on the Marion and Wayland H. Cato Jr. Center for the Arts continues at the corner of St. Philip and Calhoun Streets.  Much of the work that is taking place involves things that no one will see once the building is complete, but that work is very important!  For example, the contractors have been installing systems that will allow the Studio Art Department to dispose of its waste materials in an appropriate manner.

The contractors are constructing a mock panel that will mimic the structure's appearance.  It will feature cast stone as well as samples of the fenestration and roofing.  The mock panel will be located outside (on the east side of the Albert Simons Center for the Arts).  It should be complete within a week or so.
